Project & Facilities Management:
? Played a vital role in handling various Electrical systems & engineering projects, providing leadership, and managing program execution to meet contract and company commitments.
? Manage all communication with clients for projects and provide engineering and technical support to clients.
? Managing and controlling the Site for execution of Electrical works within limits of Project constraints (cost, Time, quality, resources, and Risk).
? Attending regular meetings (on work progress, coordination, design, etc.) with the Main Contractor and Consultant to discuss key issues related to the project and take effective actions.
? Managing (Subcontractors, Engineers, Material Suppliers, Material Orders, Material delivery on time, Staff, Manpower, Cash flow, Variations, and Payment preparation).
? Responsible for the Implementation of Safety culture at Site Works & Ensuring that the health and safety requirements are provided and that they comply with authorities' regulations.
? Coordinating and fulfilling the requirements of the Client (Building owner), Main contractor, and Consultants.
? Develop detailed project plans and use these as a benchmark to track overall project progress.
? Ensure all technical aspects of the projects are strictly complied with and in conformity with the Conditions of the Contract, Specifications, General Specifications, Contract Drawings & BOQ.
? Managing budgets in close liaison with the Engineering and Commercial team, assessing financial performance against forecasts on a monthly basis and where to take corrective action to ensure that targets are achieved.
? Identify the Change of Scope and Submission of Variation claim to the Client with Necessary supporting Evidence and secure Approvals from the client.
Design, Engineering & Procurement:
? Preparation of various stages of design from concept to detailed submission for Electrical Systems.
? Such as LV networks, Power & Lighting Systems, ELV Systems, Fire Alarm & Detection Systems and Earthing & Lightning Protection Systems.
? Provides an in-depth study of various aspects of electrical engineering (i.e. Load Study, Voltage Drop and Cable Sizing Calculations, Electrical Equipment Sizing, Lighting Calculation, etc.).
? Familiarity with Local & international Codes and Standards such as Kahramaa, BS7671, NFPA, IEC, IEEE, British Standards, etc.
? Prepare Engineering Submittal logs (Pre-qualification, Material submittal, Design Calculation, Method statement, Shop Drawing & Sample tag), review/confirm the expected date of submittal with respect to the Project’s program and Site condition.
? Review all Engineering submittals produced to ensure that applicable codes, standards, and procedures are followed and quality is acceptable prior to obtaining the Engineer/Client’s approval.
? Technical support and follow-up with the Procurement department to ensure all materials are as per specifications within budget and will be delivered as per project schedule.
? Supporting the contracts department – technically and contractually to study and prepare claims or variation orders.
? Developing procurement strategies and interacting with purchasers/suppliers to achieve cost-effective purchases.
Tendering, Estimation & Planning:
? Prepared a take-off from drawings to calculate the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for the Electrical works.
? Prepare tender queries to client/consultant for any contradiction ambiguity and missing information/items, and review Proposal Engineers and Quantity Surveyors (QS) queries and report to the Tender and Estimation Manager.
? Estimating Quantity (Pre and Post Tender) for Electrical System (MV switchgear, LV switchgear, Distribution board, HV/LV/ELV cables, and wiring, UPS System, Central Battery System, Power Earthing System Power fittings, Conduit, and Cable Trunking, General lighting Luminaires and lamps, etc.).
? Monitor, observe and assess the performance of Quantity Surveyors and Proposal Engineers and recommend/discuss the observation with the Tender and Estimation Manager during the Annual performance Evaluation.
? Tracking and monitoring the progress against the baseline schedule and identifying the variances in the project schedule and actual progress.
Execution and Supervision:
? Responsible for the preparation of the project execution strategy and guidance to subordinates to ensure that work is carried out as per the execution plan.
? Supervise and Execute many projects. Coordinating with the civil team to avoid any project delay and Cost Controlling, Meeting with Clients, Consultants, Suppliers, and Subcontractors to get project targets.
? Coordination of communications between the project team, the engineering, and design team members to assure the equality of work, and that consistent technical content drawing/design packages are maintained throughout a project.
? Manage and coordinate Multi-discipline Engineering activities on-site to ensure the project is executed in a safe, efficient, cost-effective & timely manner.
? Monitored and evaluated the performance of contractors including compliance with contractual requirements, identified & assessed Electrical associated risks, and reported to the senior management with appropriation plans.
? Overseeing and professional management of site installations ensuring that all are carried out to high-quality standards and approved installation methods with a focus on achieving the specified targets/milestones.
? Reviewing the subcontractor's monthly progress report and invoice and deducting the invoices in case of discrepancies in monthly progress and invoices.
? Tracking and monitoring the progress of testing and commissioning planned vs. actual and updating management and client on a weekly basis.
? Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire project execution.
Testing & Commissioning:
? Support of documents including architecture system block diagram, I/O allocation, GA drawings, Wiring drawings, cable schedules, interconnection diagrams, instrument loop diagrams, instrument hook-up drawings, Functional design specification, FAT procedure, SAT procedure, Inspection, and Test plan, etc.
? FAT & SAT support, Insulation Resistance Test using 500V Megger, Pre-commissioning test, Continuity check, ELCB and Polarity Test, Lux level checked by lux meter.
? Reviewed testing & commissioning plans and witnessed & approved the testing & commissioning process for the Electrical scope of the project in coordination with the contractor.
? Involve in the pre-run inspection of all Fire & life safety systems.
? Testing the life safety system as per the approved cause & effect matrix.
? Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures, ITP, and Method statements and ensure all tests are carried out as per contract requirements
Operation & Maintenance and Handover:

? Prepare punch lists, Monitor the startup, testing, commissioning, and handover of the works. Ensure the correctness and completeness of as-built drawings.
? Liaise with local authorities (Kahramaa, QCD, Ashghal & and Qtel) for drawing and final installation approval.
? Prepare project handover plan for key projects in line with the contractual requirements and clients.
? Expectations including documentation handover indices and dossier templates for the different sections of handover packages as per client procedures.
? Close coordination with engineering, procurement, construction, hook-up, installation, and handover execution groups to ensure deliverables meet Company information quality and handover requirements.
? Ensure all stakeholders are following the correct templates for document preparation and for smooth compilation & handover of final documentation.
