Detailed Profile

Budget, Forecast & Month Close
• Finance Manager for Plant Labour and Overhead cost for Vehicle Assembly and Engine Plant. Report to the Plant Controller and matrix reporting to Plant Manager (Vehicle & Powertrain operations)
• Support business strategies for the New JV formation
• Lead for budgeting annually. Responsible for managing $85M on Labour and Overhead spent for Chennai Plant. Activities involve Analyzing Past Performance and Next Year requirements based on the Production Plan and prepare Zero based Budgeting. Present the Budget numbers with Director of Manufacturing get Budget Approval.
• Conduct Periodic meeting with the Area Mangers to review budget roadmap against the actual cost incurred and identify potential opportunities/gaps to achieve targets
• Provide timely, relevant, accurate reports and analysis on division’s performance against historical, budgeted, forecasted and strategic plans to facilitate decision making
• Monthly Forecast Preparation and report Labour and Overhead Forecast at Market View (LOH Spent to the Proportion of Domestic Volume) and Total Plant View (LOH Spent on Total Volume)
• Preparation of monthly Income statement, analyzing monthly accruals, explain variances
• Prepare Management reports that includes QoQ, YoY changes review, benchmark with other Ford Plants and other studies to drive cost measures
Business Case
• Periodic business studies to operate Plant Production at Optimal Level and develop forecast models
• Perform business case for changing operating pattern and recommend actions based on the study and prepare TARR for new projects. (Ex. Working Overtime vs extended business hours; Capacity actions; Volume actions etc.).
• Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting and benchmarking data and making comparative analysis (Ex. Benchmarking with Other OEM’s)
• Support for the new business process and ideas by Partnering with Cross functional teams like Business
Studies for Service Parts (FCSD), Other Plant requirements etc.

Review of Purchase Requisitions
• Critical review of new Purchase Requisitions on Plant Maintenance and Purchased service contracts; approve only business critical Purchase Requisitions
• Analyze Insourcing vs Outsourcing for the Purchased service contracts
• Review the Cost Avoidance/Cost saving ideas with the operations and provide necessary support
Inventory Management
• Responsible for Finished Vehicles inventory, 4-Wall Inventory & In Transit Inventory Reporting. Monthly review of Non Production Inventory includes review of Open Orders, Requisitions, Consumption, Cycle count reviews, Non moving Inventory etc.
• Identify Non-moving / Obsolete Inventory; review with Management for disposal actions
• Prepare Inventory scorecard to analyze the monthly Inventory (Production, Non Production, Finished Vehicles) performance against the forecasted operating pattern and review with Plant Controller and Plant Manager
• Coordinate with the Internal Control team & ensure process efficiencies and supporting External Auditors for the statutory audit
