Job Description
A leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Pediatric ENT Surgeon to join its specialized medical team. The ideal candidate should possess extensive expertise in diagnosing and managing ear, nose, and throat disorders in infants, children, and adolescents, including complex pediatric airway conditions and advanced ENT surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat pediatric ear, nose, throat, head, and neck disorders.
Perform pediatric ENT surgeries, including tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, and tympanostomy tube insertion.
Evaluate and manage congenital and acquired pediatric airway abnormalities.
Diagnose and treat pediatric hearing loss, recurrent ear infections, and balance disorders.
Perform pediatric endoscopic airway assessments and surgical interventions within approved clinical privileges.
Manage pediatric sinusitis, nasal obstruction, sleep-disordered breathing, and obstructive sleep apnea.
Assess and manage complex pediatric ENT conditions requiring specialized surgical care.
Collaborate with pediatricians, audiologists, speech therapists, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams.
Provide preoperative assessments, postoperative care, and long-term patient follow-up.
Supervise and mentor junior physicians, residents, and other healthcare professionals.
Participate in clinical audits, research, patient safety initiatives, and continuous quality improvement.
Qualifications & Requirements
MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
Recognized postgraduate qualification in Otolaryngology (ENT).
Fellowship or advanced subspecialty training in Pediatric Otolaryngology.
Extensive clinical and surgical experience in pediatric ENT.
Eligibility for a DOH Abu Dhabi Consultant ENT license, with appropriate pediatric subspecialty privileges, subject to UAE PQR requirements.
Strong expertise in pediatric airway management, otologic procedures, and advanced ENT surgery.
Excellent surgical judgment, communication, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
