Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat patients with neurological disorders through comprehensive clinical assessment.
- Evaluate medical histories, perform neurological examinations, and develop individualised treatment plans.
- Interpret diagnostic investigations, including MRI, CT scans, EEG, EMG, and other neurological tests.
- Manage acute and chronic neurological conditions, including stroke, epilepsy, headache disorders, movement disorders, dementia, multiple sclerosis, and neuromuscular diseases.
- Prescribe medications and monitor treatment effectiveness while ensuring patient safety.
- Provide consultations for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency cases as required.
- Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, nurses, rehabilitation specialists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated patient care.
- Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education activities.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, ethical standards, and infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
- Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent).
- Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), or equivalent specialisation in Neurology.
- Completion of an accredited Neurology residency program.
- Valid medical license to practice in the country of employment.
- QCHP License or eligibility is preferred for positions based in Qatar.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of post-specialisation experience as a Neurologist.
- Experience in hospital or speciality clinic settings is preferred.
