Junior Accountant
Job Location : Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Key Responsibilities :
• Record daily financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, journal entries, and supporting documents.
• Maintain accurate general ledger and financial records.
• Assist with bank, supplier, and customer account reconciliations.
• Verify invoices, expenses, receipts, and payment documents for accuracy.
• Track outstanding customer payments and support collection follow-ups.
• Maintain organized digital and physical accounting files.
• Assist with monthly financial reports, account schedules, and summaries.
• Support VAT/CT-related documentation and financial record maintenance.
• Coordinate with operations and administration teams regarding financial information.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and report them to senior finance staff.
• Assist with audit preparation by providing required financial documents.
• Update financial information accurately in accounting software.
• Maintain confidentiality of company financial and customer information.
Requirements & Qualifications :
• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; previous experience as a Junior Accountant, Accounts Assistant, or Finance Assistant is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software; experience with Tally, Zoho Books, or similar systems preferred; familiarity with UAE VAT/CT and basic tax documentation is an advantage.
• Core Competencies: Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail; good communication and organizational skills; ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple accounting tasks; high level of integrity and confidentiality.
