Welding Sales Engineer / Sales Executive
Job Location : Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Key Responsibilities :
• Develop and achieve sales targets for welding machines, welding consumables, accessories, and related products.
• Identify new customers and business opportunities within fabrication, manufacturing, construction, automotive, shipbuilding, oil & gas, infrastructure, and engineering industries.
• Visit customer facilities and project sites to understand welding applications, production requirements, and technical challenges.
• Recommend suitable welding machines, consumables, processes, and accessories based on customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with fabricators, contractors, manufacturers, workshops, project companies, dealers, and end users.
• Generate leads through cold calling, customer visits, referrals, networking, exhibitions, and market research.
• Prepare quotations, technical proposals, product comparisons, and commercial offers.
• Conduct product demonstrations, welding trials, technical presentations, and application discussions where required.
• Coordinate with technical/service teams to provide appropriate solutions and resolve customer requirements.
• Manage the complete sales cycle from enquiry and quotation through negotiation, order confirmation, delivery, and follow-up.
• Follow up on quotations, tenders, trials, and open sales opportunities.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions within company policies.
• Promote cross-selling and upselling of welding consumables, accessories, spare parts, and related equipment.
• Develop new territories, accounts, dealers, and distribution channels.
• Monitor competitor products, pricing, market trends, and customer preferences.
• Maintain accurate customer and opportunity information in CRM/ERP systems.
• Coordinate with logistics, finance, service, and operations teams to ensure smooth order execution.
• Support payment collection and resolve customer issues in coordination with the relevant departments.
• Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, customer visit reports, and market updates.
• Participate in exhibitions, trade shows, technical seminars, and industry events.
Required Qualifications & Experience :
• Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in welding sales, industrial sales, technical sales, fabrication, or welding equipment/consumables.
• Good knowledge of welding processes such as MIG/MAG, TIG, ARC/MMA, SAW, and related applications.
• Understanding of welding machines, electrodes, wires, shielding gases, torches, PPE, and welding accessories.
• Ability to understand customer applications and recommend appropriate welding solutions.
• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Good commercial awareness and ability to prepare and negotiate quotations.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CRM/ERP systems.
• Willingness to travel extensively for customer visits and project/site inspections.
