Design Engineer – Instrumentation
Job Location : Kuwait
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and review instrumentation engineering and design documents
• Prepare instrumentation calculations, specifications, -and technical documentation
• Develop and review instrument datasheets, instrument index, and related documents
• Prepare and review instrumentation layouts, wiring diagrams, and loop diagrams
• Review P&IDs and ensure proper instrumentation requirements are incorporated
• Coordinate with electrical, process, mechanical, and other engineering disciplines
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and vendor documents
• Ensure designs comply with applicable project specifications, codes, and standards
• Participate in technical meetings and coordinate with clients and project teams
• Support technical queries, design changes, and engineering clarifications
• Ensure timely completion of assigned engineering deliverables
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation / Electronics / Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 15+ years of relevant experience in - - Instrumentation Engineering / Design
• Strong experience in Oil & Gas projects
• Excellent knowledge of instrumentation engineering principles and design practices
• Experience with instrument datasheets, instrument index, I/O lists, loop diagrams, and cable schedules
• Good knowledge of control systems, instrumentation, and relevant industry standards
• Strong coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and technical reporting skills in English
Preferred:
• Experience in major Oil & Gas / EPC projects
• Experience working with engineering consultants or EPC contractors
• Experience with DCS, PLC, ESD, F&G, and other control/instrumentation systems
• Previous Kuwait / GCC project experience is an advantage
