Joinery Draughtsman
Job Location : UAE
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings and installation drawings for joinery works.
• Develop plans, elevations, sections and detailed joinery drawings.
• Prepare drawings for doors, wardrobes, kitchens, vanities, wall panelling, counters, furniture and bespoke joinery.
• Coordinate drawings with architectural, MEP and interior design requirements.
• Incorporate site measurements and actual site conditions into drawings.
• Prepare cutting/fabrication details, material specifications and hardware details where required.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Designers, Production, Procurement and Site Teams.
• Revise drawings based on client/consultant comments and site requirements.
• Ensure drawings are accurate and comply with approved designs and project specifications.
• Issue approved drawings to production and site teams with proper revision control.
• Conduct drawing checks before submission to avoid fabrication and installation errors.
• Assist the production team with technical clarification during manufacturing.
• Maintain proper documentation and drawing registers.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
• Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, Joinery or a related field.
• 3–6 years of relevant experience in joinery/interior fit-out drafting.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD is essential.
• Knowledge of SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit or other drafting/design software will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of joinery materials, construction methods, hardware and finishing.
• Ability to read architectural and interior design drawings.
• Strong knowledge of dimensions, tolerances, levels and construction details.
• UAE/GCC joinery or fit-out experience preferred.
