To whom it may concern:

Im inquiring about any possible openings re a Nuc Med/PET Tech with your client. My attached resume shows the highlights from my career in Nuclear Medicine Imaging, of which I feel that I can offer the medical facility a valuable mix of enthusiasm and proficiency. Also, my varied professional background has equipped me w/solid practical leadership skills, combined w/a deep understanding of diagnostic imaging.
I believe that with my 30+ yrs of healthcare experience (nuclear med imaging, EMT & biomedical research) at various healthcare facilities across the US and internationally, I have had plenty of "exposure" to a wide range of diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures, techniques, image processing, varied patient populations, treatment scenarios, & research protocols - to offer a mature, balanced, and valued service to your diagnostic clinical team; equipping healthcare providers w/the latest educational resources; and ultimately, honest & compassionate care for those patients involved. Also, I’m experienced in training new staff and/or student interns on proper diagnostic testing & safe nuclear scintillation equipment operation.
My general daily responsibilities as a Nuc Med Tech, that I have always shared with other technologists in the department of any medical facility I’ve worked at, have ranged from a multi-tasking team effort to provide care for one or more patients at a time – to being able to personally focus patient care on a 1 to 1 basis. Ultimately, I am able to perform an imaging procedure on a single patient from start to finish: accessing patient’s medical history, charted &/or verbal (noting allergies to meds & contraindications to diagnostic accuracy); understanding a physician’s order; patient education re basics of diagnostic study requested; initiating the correct protocol needed; monitoring the patient’s vitals during the course of the study; and processing the technical data & images to be evaluated by the radiologist. Of course, with each diagnostic procedure, I am familiar with the correct radiopharmaceutical & dosage amount, along with the necessary adjuvant medications to conduct the study.
As always, I have shared the responsibility of daily & weekly nuclear hotlab QC, and QC of the gamma camera equipment, of which I have consistently performed on a daily basis at every medical facility’s nuclear medicine lab that I have had the pleasure of offering patient care in practicing nuclear medicine imaging. It is simply what is understood & expected of every nuclear medicine technologist.
I am very excited about this career opportunity you have – to be able to finally combine my experience of providing outstanding patient care in Nuclear Med Imaging with the chance to continue my interest in healthcare. I would consider it an honor to be selected as a member of your imaging team. I look forward to further discussion of how I can also be of a service to your hospital. I am currently preparing to attempt the PET specialty board exam & renewing my Nuc Cardiology Tech Cert. in the spring of 2021.

Thanks in advance for your time and consideration.

Sincerely yours,

Brian H Warren BS, ARRT(N), CNMT
