F. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

IN INDIA: Since January 2015 to August 2017, I was working as Consultant for Structural Design, Contracts and for ADR with various Companies in Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Bombay and New Delhi at my personal Capacity. Prior to that I was in employment with various Construction companies as detailed below:

F.01. PRESIDENT – TECHNICAL in M/s Puravankara Projects Ltd., Bangalore
- from October 2010 to November 2014:

I was working as PRESIDENT – TECHNICAL in M/s Puravankara Projects Ltd., a premium Real Estate Company of India, located in Bangalore, with an annual group turnover of Rs.3,200 Crores while handling projects of 40.00 million Sq. Ft. of Residential and Commercial Projects (including IT Parks) together costing each from Rs. 250 Crores to Rs. 1,200 Crores located across Bangalore, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Mysore and Hyderabad.

My role included Business Development, taking JVs with technological agreements, Infrastructure Development with advancement in technology, High Rise Constructions with advanced methods of construction to save cost and time, Long term strategic planning for innovative technologies, adoption of innovative methods in construction keeping the competitive advantage for the company in sales & marketing. I was responsible for the activities of project execution, project management, procurement, market study, feasibility & profitability analysis, planning, scheduling, tendering, budgeting, construction, purchasing, liaison, project funding, sales & marketing and finance closing including cash-flow. While I am heading the department, I am reporting to the Chairman and Managing Director and to the Board.

Periodic Quality and Cost audits, regular follow up of cost, value engineering, techno-commercial studies, procurement of materials on timely/priority/need basis, resource planning, mobilization of tools and plant to respective project sites, sequencing the projects with respect to sales happening in the market, stalling of some projects to lubricate cash-flow, etc. were my routine responsibilities.

Decision making for the capital investments of the company with payback period calculations, cost analysis, break even analysis, and presentation of net present value of money were my managerial responsibilities. New Business Proposals, their feasibility studies, budget preparation, advertising, establishment of channel partnership, brokers, sales promotion and resource management were parts of my regulars.

Architectural, Structural Design, MEP, Technical, Construction, Contracts, Vendor Development, Purchasing, Stores, Plant & Machinery, Quality/ISO, Land Procurement, and R & D Departments with total payroll strength of 460 are reporting to me while I was reporting to the CMD and the Board.

In addition to the above, the following were my routine roles and responsibilities:

Setting up systems and processes in the organisation to enable progress monitoring and oversee all projects; ensuring that each project is built per quality, time and budget guidelines.

I was working as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Business Development Manager in SHAPOORJI PALLONJI & CO. LTD. a Flag-ship construction company of India, located at Mumbai, with a turnover of Rs. 3,000 Crores and with a group turnover of Rs. 10,000 Crores. I was looking after the mega projects of Commercial and Residential Buildings each of which are Rs.700 – 1000 Crores. I dealt with contracts, EPC and Design-Build turn-key projects.

F.03. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR in M/s Madhucon Projects Ltd., Hyderabad
- from June 2007 to December 2008:

I was working as Executive Director in M/s Madhucon Projects Limited, one of the ISO 9001:2000 certified companies, located at its corporate office in Hyderabad with an annual turnover of Rs. 3,000 Crores. I was handling projects of worth Rs. 1,500 Crores. This included Madhucon Megamall (1.2 million Sq.Ft.), The Nama Hotel (a 450 keyed 5-Star Hotel) and an office complex (400,000 Sq.Ft.) at Kukatpally, Hyderabad. The cost of this project was Rs.780 Crores. Apart from these, I handled residential projects at Kokapet comprising of 1 million Sq.Ft. plus 1.5 million Sq.Ft. at a cost of Rs.200 Crores plus Rs.300 Crores respectively. Innovative methods of construction with new technology adoption at the stage of planning itself were my main role in this company.

F.04. VICE PRESIDENT (Constn.) in M/s Aparna Constns. & Estates Pvt. Ltd, Hyderabad
- from June 2005 to May 2007:

I was in a position of Vice President (Construction) in Aparna Constructions and Estates Private Limited, an ISO 9001:2000 certified company, its Corporate Head Office located in Hyderabad, with an annual turnover of Rs. 600 Crores. I was heading the Construction Team of strength 360. I was handling Construction Projects of 30 million Sq. Ft. comprising of Residential and Commercial Developments. Out of this total area of construction, 12 million Sq. Ft. business was newly brought by me with a Foreign Direct Investment from Morgan Stanley with a tie up as Joint Venture SPV headed by me. I was reporting to the Managing Director and the Board while 18 General Managers (Projects) were directly reporting to me. I had implemented Oracle ERP Solutions for the project management and regular MIS on day-to-day basis is one of my functional responsibilities. Residential towers of 20 floors, 15 floors, 13 floors high, commercial complexes, independent villas were highlights of my experience in this company.

F.05. GENERAL MANAGER (Engg.) in M/s Aecon Group of Companies, Canada
- from September 2001 to May 2005:

Worked as General Manager (Engineering) in Leo Alarie and Sons Limited, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, an ISO 9001:2000 certified company (a subsidiary of AECON Group of Companies), with an annual turnover of more than $300 million. I was reporting to the Vice President (Operations). Engineering Design, Project Management, Problem Solving, Estimation, Tendering, Budget Preparation, etc. were my regular duties. I had completed two sizable projects of more than $55million each. One of them was the construction of Lac Seul Generation Station, Ear Falls, Ontario for Ontario Power Generation. The other one is the De Beers Victor Project (a Diamond Mine Project) at Attawapiskat, Ontario, Canada. These two projects were specialized in respect of their location where there was no accessibility on road. Materials and men had to access the site by helicopters or aeroplanes to reach the project site. Winter-Road Transportation was the critical aspect in this project. In addition to the above two projects, I had full exposure to the retail constructions, high rise buildings, housing complexes and all other infrastructural projects like roads, railways and dockyards.

Apart from the Engineering, my responsibilities also included business development, strategic planning, financial programming, fund raising, liaison with government high level officials, famous architects, consulting engineering firms, etc. Decision making for the investments of the company with good payback period calculations, cost analysis, break even analysis, net present value of money, were my managerial responsibilities. New Business Proposals, their feasibility studies, budget preparation and resource management were also parts of my regulars.

F.06. GENERAL MANAGER (Constn.) in M/s Magacon Construction Ltd., Canada
- from July 1995 to August 2001:

I worked as General Manager (Construction) in Magacon Construction Limited, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I was responsible for overall performance of our company. The annual turn over of this company was $64 millions in 1995, the year I joined this company. This has been enhanced to $482 millions (estimated) by the end of the year 2001.
The major operations were construction of high rise buildings in Greater Toronto Area apart from the other engineering projects like roads, bridges, tunnels, sewer and water mains. I had also performed in this position in Industrial, Commercial and Institutional constructions like schools, hospitals, auditoriums, etc. The interesting examples of this kind were Lester B Pearson International Airport (Terminal 1) of Toronto and the Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

We were well equipped with men, materials and machinery for the construction of high rise residential towers which was the main expertise for the commercial and business strategy. We built homes with latest materials with durability and customer satisfaction.

There were 62 Professional Engineers and Architects working for the company where as the total pay roll was to the tune of 600 people costing to the company around $40 millions per annum.

We also had Research and Development Division engaged for research in new types of construction. We had succeeded in modular construction technology; process flow concreting for mass housing, etc. which were our inventions and these inventions were patented.

I was reporting to the President and Board of Directors of the company while the Project Managers were reporting to me.

F.07. CHIEF ENGINEER (Civil) in M/s The Bombay Dyeying and Mfg. Co. Ltd, Mumbai,
- from March 1989 to June 1995:

I was working as Chief Engineer (Civil) in the Flag Ship Company, The Bombay Dyeing and Manufacturing Co. Ltd., Mumbai. I was in Senior Management Grade reporting to the Chairman and to the Board for Civil Engineering projects.

I was heading the Civil Engineering Department of this company having an annual turnover of INR.1,500 Crores with more than INR. 8,000 Crores of properties of real estate in the years 1990s. While I maintained existing properties of the company I also planned, designed and constructed major landmarks of the Mumbai City with high rise construction. The latest construction which I had completed was the Naperol towers in Kidwai Marg, Wadala, Mumbai comprising of G+32 floors with a total area of residential construction about 340,000 Sq.Ft. in total 240 dwelling units in a single tower. This building was constructed after demolition of National Peroxide Limited and hence named after Naperol Towers. The cost of construction was INR. 30 Crores (Year 1995) excluding the cost of land. Starting from planning, rezoning, municipal approvals I have successfully completed this gigantic project in just 18 months to the appreciation of our higher management.

The other landmark of construction was the Nestle apartments in Pandurang Budhkar Marg, Worli, Mumbai with a total area of construction of 300,000 Sq.Ft in 3 different buildings Nestle-1, 2 and 3. While this project was handled, simultaneously I completed twin towers at Prabhadevi, Mumbai comprising of 700,000 Sq.Ft of residential area in two wings each of 25 floors. I had simultaneously completed both these projects with a total area of construction of more than 1 million Sq. Ft. Besides these two major projects, I also completed Beach Towers which was partially completed when I joined this company and other small projects like retail stores for Bombay Dyeing exclusive garments.

Apart from the above, my department also handled industrial construction for the modernization schemes costing more than INR. 100 Crores in the years 1990-92. I had contributed for manpower reduction by automation.

During this position, I was responsible for all administrative and technical aspects of Civil Engineering. I developed systems for the routine operations of the department which was approved by the Chairman, Mr. Nusli N Wadia with appreciation.

Planning, tendering, project management, structural design, liaison with government officials including ministers for the state, architects and consulting engineers, permits and approvals, contract management, material selection, material specification and material ordering were my routine responsibilities with the assistance of my technical staff.

Budgetary preparation, proposal submission, creation of projects, long term goals, short term goals, performance appraisal, departmental administration, reporting to the board, and management information system with computerized networking were my managerial responsibilities.

In the year 2001, I have been called from Canada to adopt 8 villages in Gujarat after the earthquake disaster that took place in January 2001. I had constructed earthquake resistant residential buildings with an expenditure of INR.150 Crores contributed by Mahindra & Mahindra, The Bombay Dyeing and the HDFC Ltd. My team and I were saluted by the chairman of the flag-ship company for the selfless hardships we had contributed for this relief work.

F.08. ASSISTANT ENGINEER (Civil) in Government of Tamil Nadu, Chennai
- from July 1983 to February 1989:

During above period, I was working as Assistant Engineer (Civil) in the Public Works Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu. I had been selected through the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, Madras (currently Chennai). During this period, I was working in the Roads and Buildings Department in the office of the Superintending Engineer, Chepauk, Chennai, the then Madras.

During the above position I was in-charge of 12 residential blocks comprising of a development of 672,000 Sq. Ft. of construction for 480 dwelling units in a time span of 4 years. This project was constructed in different locations of Tamil Nadu including Madras.

The following were my regular routine responsibilities:

• Planning, Design, Estimation and Execution
• Liaison with local authorities
• Liaison with external consultants
• Preparation of tender documents with specifications and drawings
• Reporting day-to-day progress and problems to the Executive Engineer
• Suggesting remedial methods for problems
• Maintaining accounts of the Section and Sub Division

• Maintenance of Office and Government own buildings
• Maintaining record and registers of the department for T & P, OTEO, NMR, Cement Register, Steel Register, consumables, etc.

During this Government service, I had been selected for deputation to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for Water and Sewerage Directorate, Al Hassa, Al Hofuf. I was deputed by the government of Tamil Nadu for a 4 year contract for the construction of Administrative Building for Water and Sewerage Directorate. I was a senior civil engineer during this position reporting to the project manager Mr. Magdi. The building was purely for the office purpose of the Department. Work carried out by the government contractors. I was on the client side to supervise the work in accordance with the drawings and specification.

Supervision, check measurement, quantity estimation, material quality checking, testing, surveying, bill checking, bill correction, etc were my routine responsibilities.
